Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Growth in Nigeria’s Energy Sector

In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which advocates for greater collaboration with industry giants and the international community, I have been actively engaging with International Oil Companies (IOCs) to foster lasting business relationships for the benefit of our nation.

Today marked a significant milestone as I had the honor of hosting Mr. Fan Xiaojing, the Executive Director of CGC Nigeria Limited, along with Mr. Tan Jian, Deputy General Manager Business Development, on a familiarization visit. CGC Nigeria Limited serves as the agent of SINOPEC Petroleum Refinery, a key player in Nigeria’s crude and LNG trading sector.

SINOPEC’s consistent involvement in Nigeria’s energy market through CGCOC Group highlights their commitment to the nation’s energy landscape. As we strive to increase production sustainably, it is imperative to strengthen existing partnerships. I am pleased to note that SINOPEC shares this vision of collaboration for mutual benefit.

This visit underscores our commitment to fostering collaboration and leveraging international partnerships to drive sustainable growth in Nigeria’s energy sector. Together with SINOPEC and other stakeholders, we will continue to work towards achieving our shared objectives, contributing to the prosperity of our nation.
